What appeals to me about Electronics
During my degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, I found myself interested in course units related to microcontroller, digital system design, etc. Also, I enjoyed electronics projects when I could apply my skills, learn as I develop things for certain purposes and explore more possibilities. Electronics is everywhere; it’s ever-changing and challenging. As I gained more experiences, it attracts me more and I started to think about working in this industry in the future.
My experience working for Arm
I applied for this opportunity because I wanted to find something interesting to do during summer, learn how engineers work in industry, and most importantly, develop my skills and talk to more people. I believe that Arm is an excellent place to learn and work, and it’s beneficial that I can work on the things which are closely related to those I have learned and will be learning in university after the summer ends.
My placement
I worked with the formal verification team during my summer placement. By working on a task related to macros used in testbench, I further developed my skills on Systemverilog and python, learned about formal verification, and gained deeper understanding on architecture. I’ve also had a good time communicating with nice and friendly people in the company. From the perspective of future personal development, I gained more insight into what I want to pursue in future work, what I want to explore in future study and how I can make a change.
My interests outside of work
Hiking, swimming, reading. Looking forward to more trips to different places around the world.
